A gunsaku is a haiku sequence.

This sequence may be of haiku written on or about the same subject or written in the same place.

A rensaku is not a sequence. It is bringing together a number of haiku written around the same event or experience. Each of its haiku maintains its independence and can be cited on its own elsewhere.
